Eugene (Eugeniusz) Maziarz was born in Poland in 1959 and began drawing and painting at the age of 7. Maziarz earned numerous art awards in his childhood and was accepted into a fine art academy when he reached his teens.

He went on to study art at the Institute of Art in Lublin, Poland. In 1984, through a decision by the Ministry Committee of culture in Warsaw, Poland, Maziarz became a member of the Polish Organization of Artists.

Maziarz’s artistic development was enhanced through his exposure to a variety of cultures and solidified through his extensive experience as an Advisor and University Professor of Fine Arts at some of the leading universities in Poland. As a member of the Polish Association for Art Education, he participated in numerous exhibitions throughout Poland. The primary goal of the association was to popularize art among children, teenagers and adults in Poland. His students are distinguished in some of the most prestigious exhibitions in Poland.

Of international stature, his paintings have been commissioned for both private and public collections in France, Germany, England, Italy and the United States. In 1994, Maziarz arrived in America, where he currently resides. He primarily shows his work in California, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

His passion is working with oil, deriving images from nature in a highly impressionistic style and color pale. He exudes a mesmerizing magic in his highly layered and dimensional composition. His unique blend of realism and atmospheric impressionism set his work apart. Many people can recognize a “Maziarz painting” by its brush strokes and unique feeling. Part of his success is connecting emotionally with others through his work reminding people of moments in their life or memories of the past.
